This Gar was caught last year on a 1/2 oz. nylon rope lure, we were sight fishing for Gar. What a fish, I had two boys from Knoxivle Tenn. one of the boys caught this Gar in this great jump. 56' and 21 lbs. released to fight again.

Good day on Lake Lanier, A special day for Drew, Rachel made it possible for Drew to go on a guided Gar Fishing trip with GarManJack. There were three of us fishing, we saw a lot of Gar but they did not want to hit at first. but finaly Drew broke the ice and caught one. We all got hits but they would pull off. Then Drew caught a second one. There were three of us fishing and there were three Gar put in the boat and Drew caught them all. Good day for Drew. GarManJack

This is the biggest Gar of the season, 57" was caught on one of my 1/2 oz. Nylon Rope Lures. By Cliff and his son Nick, we caught several big Gars that day.

Garrett is nine years old and what a fisherman, with many trophys to his credit. His dad brought him down to fish with GarManJack. The goal was to let Garrett catch his first Longnose Gar and his dad would have it mounted for him. Everything worked out just right and Garrett got his 36" Gar. Also note Garrett's 32 lb. blue cat.

This fly rod lure is very thin and cast very good, looks just like a shad , and has a break away nylon see picture below.

This picture shows the lure in (Break away) When you get a hit, the nylon pulls away from the body of the lure, giving more nylon to get caught up in. After removing the lure the nylon can be put back in place to fish again.

Three NEW Top Water Gar Lures. I call these "Papa"Gar - "Mama" Gar - "Baby" Gar. All three are hand carved and hand painted in six colors, white belly, silver sides, the main color of your choice is on the back. green - blue - black, yellow and black eyes, red cupped nose mouth and gills. plus two coats of clear gloss polyurelhane for toughness. Each has a built in rattle and weight and to keep it up right in the water and comes with a 30 lb. (100 % fluorocarbon) leader. The nylon tail is brushed for 50 strokes with a wire brush and is singed on the tail to help catch those tail nippers, and has several strips of silver and iridescence mylar for extra flash. Extra screw on replacement tails are available in single and 3 packs.
